Family Photo

Last night we went to Steve and Joanna's for dinner. Steve took these pictures of the three of us. Thanks Uncle Steve.

Go Green! Go White!

Jack attended the first of many tailgates. Great Uncle Hugh equipped a tent with a space heater and Jack comfortably enjoyed a day in East Lansing. He was, of course, dressed in his best Spartan apparel. Everyone was excited to meet him and he were excited to introduce him to Michigan State University.

He's Here

Welcome to the world John Ernest Sullivan, "Jack". He was born on October 23 at 10pm. He was 8lbs and 20.5" long. We are so thrilled to have him in our lives and he has been sweet as can be. He is eating well and beginning to get on a good schedule.

So Much Has Changed

Our July Hawaii Trip

A few of our friends who came to our 2010 Up North Trip.

My surprise shower. I can't believe Ryan was able to keep this from me. Very sneaky.

We went out with the Giombetti's for our last night in NYC. Perfect farewell meal.

Our rooftop going away party. Thanks to everyone who made it.

This one is for everyone who has been begging for me to post a new belly shot. V is due any day now with her second daughter. This was taken at her sister's wedding. Congrats Carrie.

Ryan and I are living in Michigan. Before coming back we spent two weeks in Hawaii, had a surprise baby shower and an amazing going away party. Since we have been home we have spent time Up North with family and friends, been fixing up our house, tailgating at MSU and putting together a nursery for Jack. Not to mention, my mom, Ashley and Linda hosted a gorgeous shower for Little Jack. Life has been busy but we are so happy to be back in Michigan, closer to family and getting ready to start a family of our own.

Oma and Opa Take Manhattan

Oma and Opa were here the weekend of June 12. I think I can speak for all of us when I say it was a fantastic trip. Ryan didn't have to work, the weather was beautiful and the company was perfect. We went out for some nice dinners (some nicer than Ryan expected). We rode around the city on top of a red city tour bus with perhaps the best guide there in all of Manhattan. We had lunch in Little Italy, searched for goodies (and bathrooms) in China Town and went to the top of Rockefeller Center at night.

On their last day here, we had plans to take a boat trip to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Unfortunately, Spirit airlines canceled those plans when they canceled all their flights due to strikes. Oma and Opa rented a car and were able to enjoy a leisurly drive back to Michigan.

Ryan and I were so happy that they were able to make it out here. The visit may have been short, but we filled it with great sights, food and conversation. Above are the few photos we took while they were here. We were honestly having so much fun, we forgot to stop and get pictures. (Sorry Mom)

JACK SULLIVAN

Meet our son Jack! We are so excited to announce to the world that we are having a baby boy. We think he looks like his father. We cannot wait to meet our little buddy. But, of course, we have to wait. There are 19 weeks and 6 days until our due date (Oct. 21)

Jack's full name is John Ernest Sullivan. Ryan's dad and grandpa are both Johns. Ernest is my father's middle name. Since there are already two Johns, we would use the nickname for John, Jack. Jack is also very meaningful as it is my Opa's name/nickname (Opa's given name is Joachim.)

We are so thrilled and look forward to sharing our excitement with everyone!

Love you all,

Callie and Ryan

Callie Lue Who (19 Weeks Pregnant)

I have lovingly started referring to my body as a who-ville body. Thus the title, Callie Lue Who. Everything looks fairly normal and then WHAM there's the belly. I have attached a picture just to show everyone what they are missing. I was waiting in Brooklyn for the F train and after having had my first full day of belly rubs I decided to take this picture. One belly rub came from a student I have never met (very strange). I never, pregnant or not, would have touched a teacher's belly. The girl giggled and said "Congratulations." All I could muster to say was "Well that was awkward." I guess my belly better get used to all the attention. It is, after all, only going to get bigger.

...then comes a baby in a baby carriage!!!

Our little family is leaving NYC and headed back to Michigan. Ryan and I came here alone and are coming back to the mitten with a puppy and a baby :)

We are almost 15 weeks along. That means the baby is the size of a large navel orange and weighs about 2 ounces. When we got our 12 week sonogram, the baby was moving like crazy. Ryan kept laughing and I had to hold it in because every time I laughed, the technician would lose the picture of the baby.

I have a mini bump and am told I will have a full blown belly in about 4-6 weeks. Baby Sullivan is Due Oct. 21 and we find out the sex June 3. Most people said boy at first, but now that my belly is growing, I am hearing more people say girl.

Although we will miss NY, we are so excited to be close to family and friends again. Especially with a baby on the way. Love you all.

MEXICO

We had a great time in Rirviera Maya. We had a room overlooking the ocean, chairs everyday by the ocean and pool and plenty to eat and drink. My favorite part of the trip was getting plenty of Vitamin D :)

New Years Eve, Ryan went to go reserve a table for the special dinner. While waiting in line, he met a couple and when Ryan returned to the beach I was surprised to find out we would all be eating dinner together. It was nice meeting new people and we had a lot of fun. After dinner, we purchased cigars and enjoyed them out by the pool. We were there so early that we got front row seats for the fire show.

Finally, it was time to head to the countdown party. They turned the ballroom into a club/lounge. There was live music, champagne and dancing. We had a blast.

It was rumored that Gretchen from the Real Housewives of the OC was staying at our resort, but we never saw her. Ryan was really upset he missed her as he is a huge fan of the show (J/K).

I hope the New Year has been good to everyone. We love you and miss you.
